SAP Screen Personas – Adding a transaction button
In GUI, we can set the user menu and favorite menu with the transaction we often use or need. This way, we can get rid of “remembering” the SAP transactions. Now consider the experience from the user’s perspective. A typical SAP user (not the power users) will only need very few transactions to work on and those transactions can be listed on the left-hand side of the GUI. Another way is to create a logon screen – similar to Fiori Launchpad for the user.
If you feel that left hand side provide an easier logon screen for the user, please read on to see how it can be done.
1 First create a new flavor.
2 In the edit mode, go to INSERT menu. Click on transaction button. A pop up will come and enter a description and the tcode name. Repeat the process as many times you need.
3 Hide the “stuff you don’t need. For hiding, select the element, go to HOME menu and click on HIDE.
4 Use HOME menu option to style your new transaction buttons.
Voila! Dashboard is ready and user will thank you for the “magic”.
